“Walking on the Way”  is the pop song describing the story of two people who started their life from different parts of the world, but ended up to let their ways cross in one point and then decide to carry on the trip together. This is how we can see each other just by following the steps of life, without making any deliberate actions, taking specific direction and planned manner.

In the beginning, the main character expresses the surprise how the story happened that made the ways to come together here, because they have started the life in completely different pathways where no any possibility existed that this connection could occur – How the things were built and made, no one chose the route, but followed the trace .

The meeting scene is depicted in the lonely wilderness, where the location is not referred as a material, but figurative. Maybe they have met with each other in a crowded place, maybe in the street. However, the main point here is that they both had that lonely wilderness in the mind and soul. They both had that cavity inside.

The girl comes and gives breath into his heart, in a way to revive the feelings and turn that wilderness into the wonderland. But she walks away, disappears after that revival step, although they could find the way to come together again afterwards.

Both choruses of the song is about invitation to walk in the way together, justified by the reasons that they have come here to be the one – meeting in this point without having any common aspects is just a pure sign of it. And she is motivated to accept this walking on the way by promises – to touch the clouds and the heat of the Sun – means to reach the happiness, warmth, brightness together.

The main point in the song is giving the hypothesis further on the road, in the life, that everything could happen, which truly regards to the realist approach to being together. On the way will be seeing beautiful places, so many beautiful memories will be the share – points out the good days of the future.

But the main character is talking about always being careful, because the way is not just flat, smooth and pain. Many ups and downs are waiting for its sacrifice ahead. So let’s assume that possibility because – we couldn’t see every place by standing here – in order to see what is existing up ahead, one should move on and step in those difficult spots.

To follow this, what could be there on the road? What kind of bad effects to be on the trip? Well. As we told that the way is not just flat, sometimes we could walk at the edge of precipice. Just a small move to the wrong side could result in undesired and dangerous outcomes. Sometimes we have the situations in the life, where just a small mistake can erase all our beautiful actions previously. This is the fatality! So, how to behave in those situations? Don’t look down, keep the eyes ahead!

But everything could happen, many difficulties could come up. The durability of all those downsides in the life are up to the strength of the characters in the song, the power of their life. Yes, sometimes the heaviest wind could blow and destroy everything. Take the tree out of its root but – we’ll stand, as long as our love is alive!

“Walking on the Way” is the Pop song featuring the piano on the theme, brings the story of two people from different pathways to come together, recorded in August, 2020.

As the song talks about unpredictable get-together of two people, the birth of the song actually experienced the same story by itself.

It was that day when I and my musician friend, Jamal Gurbanov, were invited to be in the shootings of acoustic performance where the organizers, let’s say, experienced problems in the sounding system. While they had been dealing with fixing the trouble, we have already set up our instruments and had nothing to do rather than sit and wait. Seeing this, Jamal just told me “pff, let’s improvise. I’m going to play something, and you will sing something”. After hearing those chords, on which the complete song structure is based on now, it touched my soul and my vocal melody was written just on the place through one take with the microphone.

That was the birth-day of the song, after what we decided to release it one day. Jamal arranged the song in pop, then I put the lyrics on the melody following what was up in my mind at that period of time. And the song came up out of nowhere.

Although that acoustic video shooting was unsuccessful, I will never regret to myself to take my time for it and be there on that day.
